macaroni and cheese

Here is the Macaroni and Cheese recipe so it is in a central place!

For 1 box of macaroni shells

Cook the macaroni according to the package directions. Mix in velveeta cheese and some cheddar ? to make it as cheesy as desired
Set aside

then:
Melt 4 tablespoons butter
Once it melts- mix in 4 tablespoons of flour
Mix it together and pour in two cups of milk slowly ? mixing as you pour it in
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil.
Pour over the macaroni

You can put it in the oven but it will dry it out some ? if it is too thick ?add some milk and mix it in
As long as you use some velveeta it will be creamy – but add whatever other cheese you like

Billy – unlike your greasy bacon rolls – we eat this at a lot of parties!

Big fat greasy bacon rolls

“This is one of the best appetizers I have ever made. They always go within 15 minutes whenever I bring them to a party.”

OK, that’s a fib. I never made these. I wish someone would… Original recipe yield: 48 servings PREP TIME: 15 Min

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (16 ounce) package hot dogs

  • 16 slices bacon, cut into thirds

  • 2 cups packed brown sugar

DIRECTIONS

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Spread about 1/3 of the brown sugar in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Slice each hot dog into 6 pieces and wrap each piece with 1/3 slice of bacon. Secure with toothpicks. Arrange half of the bacon wrapped dogs in a single layer over the sugar in the baking dish. Sprinkle another 1/3 of the sugar over them. Top with another layer of bacon dogs, followed by the remaining sugar. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.

Bake for 45 to 60 minutes in the preheated oven, stirring a few times. Once the bacon is crisp, remove the dish from the oven and transfer the contents to a slow cooker. Set on high for about 10 minutes, then set to low to keep warm while serving

enjoy
